Transformer Oil Regeneration
The main objective of the transformer treatment process is to improve the transformer insulating oil quality as part of an asset life extension program.

Regeneration is a process where soluble contaminants are removed from this oil. It has the capacity, therefore, to improve oil acidity, DDF, IFT, and colour. It involves chemical and/or adsorption processes (the tendency of liquid, gas or small particle to cling to the surface of another substance by physical rather than chemical means).
The CBR plant uses a special mix of a bauxite product that is a clay-like material that preferentially adsorbs acidic oxidation products. As well, fine filtration and vacuum processes are incorporated in the plant, which will remove the particulates, improve the dielectric strength, and resistivity, remove the moisture, and degas the oil.
